Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza S.A. - the bank was established in London in 1762, so probably it is the oldest and one of the most famous merchant banks. The bank established its presence in Switzerland in 1985, with orientation of its activities towards private banking approach. Now the bank is entirely focused on serving private clients, not being engaged in investment banking, retail banking, or any form of commercial lending.
