Credit Suisse Group is one of the world-leading financial services companies. The group is established as a result of a merger of Credit Suisse and Credit Suisse First Boston in 2005. After the merger, there are only two big banks left - UBS AG and the Credit Suisse Group, taking together over 50% of the balance sheet total of all banks in Switzerland. Clariden Leu – focused on individual clients. It is an independent Swiss private bank; after the merger of the four Credit Suisse private banks Clariden Bank, Bank Leu, Bank Hofmann and BGP Banca di Gestione Patrimoniale, together with credit Suisse Fides in January 2007, Clariden Leu is now one of the five largest providers of private banking services in Switzerland with 519 years experience in private banking. All assets and liabilities of the absorbed companies were transferred to Clariden Bank, by operation of law. At the same time, Clariden Bank changed its name to Clariden Leu AG. Clariden Leu remains a fully controlled subsidiary of Credit Suisse Group.
